Committed to fitness

Fitness is all about having a consistent healthy lifestyle, but it’s so easy to get caught up in other things that you’re no longer committed to yourself. It can feel like you’re living through the grind of life without even having time to do yourself any good.

When you’re living like this, you’re either really busy or tired or really unmotivated. If you’re living in this situation, you have to start figuring out how to get your life back on track.

One way to do that is to make sure that you have a regular fitness routine. The key to getting in shape is staying committed to yourself. If you’re doing a consistent exercise routine every day, you’re automatically building a healthy lifestyle for yourself.

If you feel too lazy to start, start by joining a gym or a fitness class at the initial period. This guide will help you develop a habit and routine for yourself that you can build on year after year and all your life. You’ll find that you don’t have to worry about living your life in a way that’s good for you.

Now, let’s dive into some deeper layers of how we can actually stay committed to our health forever:

Start with a basic routine

The best workout routine for you depends on a number of factors. Hence, it is best to get started on any fitness journey is by doing what you love to do, it can be yoga, running, cycling, strength training, or calisthenics.

Another few important factors to keep in mind while designing your routine is — How old are you? How much do you weigh? What’s your level of fitness? What are your body goals?

And Lastly, the best way to find out how to get in shape is to start out with a basic routine and stick to that for a few weeks.

Committed to fitness

For example, if you do strength training, make a routine for a week, it might look something like this, Day 1 & 4: PUSH, Day 2 & 5: PULL, Day 3& 6: Legs, and Day 7 is a Rest or Recovery Day.

This means that you do mostly the same type of routine every week for at least a few weeks or months, and once you build some strength and mind-muscle connection you can keep on changing your routines as per your fitness goals.

Set your own fitness goals

This is one of the best ways to stay committed to your fitness routine. Also, it’s not a good idea to start with a goal of wanting to lose weight or be in shape.

Setting the right type of realistic and achievable body goals is also necessary. You’ll just get discouraged if you set unrealistic kinds of goals. for example: as a complete beginner you made a fitness goal to lose 10kg in 10 days. Now, this is what we call unrealistic body goals.

The best way to stay committed to fitness is to start out by simply performing small baby steps. Like waking up early, making time to stretch, walk or jog.

Committed to fitness

This will help you to build a routine for yourself. Once you’ve established a routine, you can start working on your realistic fitness goals. Like, now you can set a goal for losing 3 to 4 kgs in a month by being active for 60 minutes every day and eating clean meals.

When you set small achievable goals, you’re more likely to stay committed to them. You’ll find that now you can work out more consistently when you set your own goals.

Make movement part of your mindset first

If you really want to stick to your fitness routine, believe it or not, you have to make it part of your everyday life. Make sure that you sleep and get up every morning with a mindset that you will work out for at least 30 to 60 minutes today. This helps you to set the tone for the day.

Creating a mindset helps to create a routine for yourself that you can build on year after year. Once you’ve discovered your body goals and established a fitness eccentric mindset, you’ll have to make sure that you do it on a regular basis.

Committed to fitness

Develop a mindset that just like, bathing, eating, sleeping is a life process, being physically active every day is also a daily life process that you must perform. If you do this, you’ll never have to worry about your health.

If you don’t, you’ll find that it’s a lot harder to keep yourself committed to fitness. No matter what, you need to be consistent with your mindset if you want to stay committed to your health.

Eat clean and healthy meals

You’re only going to stay committed to fitness if you’re doing it because you want to be in shape. The best way to do this is to eat healthily.

You need to make sure that you eat a healthy diet. This means that you need to avoid unhealthy snacks like doughnuts, pizzas, diet coke, soda, processed dairy, sugar, and ice-creams.

Committed to fitness

And, replace them with plenty of complex carbs, lean proteins, fruits, and vegetables.

You should also make sure that you eat more protein-rich foods like chicken or fish rather than complex carbs and fats. When you eat this way, you’ll find that you’re able to stay focused on your fitness routine, and your body starts to feel more energetic.

Try to avoid distractions but sometimes you also need rest

You’re only going to be able to commit to a fitness routine if you avoid distractions. This is the best way to keep yourself from getting distracted.

To stay away from distractions just follow a creating a positive mindset. If you have a routine, you’ll be less likely to stray from a goal. Hence, plan wisely, and you will never get sidetracked.

Committed to fitness

To avoid distractions Make sure that you have a weekly workout plan and meal prep ready. This way, your mind will absorb all your intention and you won’t be able to stray from your plan.

Although, no matter what, there will be few days when you do not feel like working out or eating clean. Well, if due to any reason you get distracted, that is even ok.

We all are human and we learn from our mistakes, so just make sure you do not give up. Forget about the mistake and continue your journey.

Making mistakes helps you learn but quitting will only result in failure. So, do not quit!
